On 29/01/2025, a workshop on the Building and Other Construction Workers (BOCW) Act and other labour laws was successfully conducted by the Builders' Association of India, Southern Centre at BAI Southern Centre Ambattur premises. The session began with a welcome address by Mr. N.G. Lokanathan, Chairman, BAI-Southern Centre and Mr. R.Ramesh, Chairman-Seminar Committee, BAI-Southern Centre..

The gathering was addressed by Sevarathna Bhishma Mr. R. Radhakrishnan, Past National President and Trustee, BAI, Mr. Mu. Moahan, Trustee and Past National President, BAI and Tmt. Premakumari, Additional Director(Training Division) Directorate of Industrial Safety and Health, Chennai.

Mr. S. Kamalakannan, Joint Director, BOCW, provided an insightful explanation of the BOCW Act, while Mr. D. Manishankar and Tmt. K. Suvedha, Deputy Directors, BOCW, elaborated on the Contract Labour Act and the process of online registration under the BOCW Act.

Mr. R.Ramesh, Chairman, Seminar Committee, BAI-Southern Centre felicitated all the speakers and dignitaries on the dais with mementoes and shawls.

The seminar concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. A. Sathyanarayana,Hon. Jt. Secretary, BAI Southern Centre. The workshop was well attended by over 100 members, and a sumptuous lunch was arranged for all participants.
