The Southern Builders' Charitable Trust Constituted by the Builders' Association of India (BAI), Southern Centre carries out various charitable activities to the General Public, Poor and Needy. It is a known fact that medical expenses are going high day by day and a large number of workers are not being able to afford it, in pursuance to one of its main object, the Trust has started a Free Medical Dispensary in partnership with Meridian Hospital by Walfs Infra India Pvt. Ltd. Chennai to extend its services for Workers' working in and around Ambattur Industrial Estate and its neighborhood free of cost.
The Commencement of free Medical Dispensary was started by Chief Guest Thiru Ruby R. Manoharan, MLA, Nanguneri Constitutency,Tamil Nadu & Chairman, Meridian Hospital in the presence of Special Guest Thiru Ponkumar, Chairman, Tamil Nadu Construction Workers Welfare Board and Guest of Honor Thiru A.Antony Rathinam, Managing Director, Meridian Hospitals. Mr. L.Shanthakumar, Coordinator, Free Dispensary, SBCT welcomed all the members and he briefed the members about Free Medical Dispensary. All the Dignitaries addressed the gathering and they have praised the efforts taken by Bhishma Mr. R.Radhakrishnan, Chairman, SBCT for taking efforts to make the free Dispensary fully functional. Mr. R.R.Shridhar, Chairman, BAI Southern Centre addressed the gathering.
The Free Medical Dispensary is fully functional from 28/10/2022 at Plot No.A1, First Main Road, Industrial Estate, Ambattur, Chennai-600048 (near Indian Bank & opposite to AIEMA Towers). The services of a Medical Officer and Staff Nurse with basic medicines for disbursing them to needed patients are made available daily from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm excluding Sundays .
