
The Builders' Association of India, Southern Centre, successfully organized a seminar on “TNRERA Updates & 3D Printing for Customization - An Opportunity to Enhance Your Acceptability” on 28 July 2026 at the Padma Bhushan Dr. A. Ramakrishna Auditorium, BAI Southern Centre Premises, Ambattur, Chennai.
The programme commenced with a Welcome Address by Mr. K. Gopinathan, Chairman, BAI Southern Centre, who welcomed the distinguished speakers and participants. This was followed by the Inaugural Address by Bhishma Mr. R. Radhakrishnan, Past National President & Trustee, BAI, who highlighted the importance of keeping abreast of regulatory developments and embracing emerging technologies to remain competitive in the construction industry. The programme was graced by Mr. L. Venkatesan, All India Trustee, BAI, who addressed the gathering and appreciated the efforts of the Southern Centre in organizing knowledge-oriented programmes for the benefit of members.
The first technical session was delivered by Mr. L. Shanthakumar, Committee Chairman, TNRERA/Real Estate Committee, BAI, who provided a comprehensive overview of the latest developments and compliance requirements under the Tamil Nadu Real Estate Regulatory Authority (TNRERA).
Mr. S. Ramaprabhu, Chairman, DTCP/CMDA Committee, BAI Southern Centre, supplemented the session by explaining the present status of the Ramsar Wetland notification relating to the Pallikaranai Marsh region and its implications for the real estate and construction sector. He also shared important updates relating to DTCP, CMDA and the latest developments affecting the real estate industry.
The second session was presented by Ms. Padmaja Padarthi, Founder, NexGen3D, along with her team. The presentation introduced participants to the rapidly evolving field of 3D printing technology and demonstrated how it is transforming the construction and allied industries.

The seminar was meticulously organized under the leadership of Mr. S. Ramaprabhu, Chairman, Seminar Committee and Mr. R. Ganesh Kumar, Co-Chairman, Seminar Committee, whose dedicated efforts ensured the smooth and successful conduct of the programme.
The seminar witnessed enthusiastic participation from around 125 members, including builders, developers, architects, engineers, consultants, and other industry professionals. The participants actively interacted with the speakers and greatly benefited from the technical knowledge, practical insights and discussions on both regulatory developments and emerging construction technologies.
The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Mr. A. Sathyanarayana, Hon. Secretary, BAI Southern Centre, who expressed gratitude to the speakers, dignitaries, organizing committee, sponsors and participants for contributing to the success of the seminar.
The event concluded with lunch, marking yet another successful knowledge-sharing initiative of the Builders' Association of India, Southern Centre, aimed at equipping its members with the latest industry knowledge and technological advancements.
