Meeting with the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu

On July 24, 2024, a small delegation from the Builders Association of India (BAI) met with the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Mr. M.K. Stalin. The delegation comprised Mr. R. Radhakrishnan, Past President and Trustee, Mr. Mu. Moahan, Trustee and Past President, Mr. B. Palanivel, State Chairman of BAI Tamil Nadu, and Mr. N.G. Lokanathan, Chairman of BAI Southern Centre.

During the meeting, the delegation extended their heartfelt congratulations and gratitude to the Chief Minister for his visionary leadership and the various pioneering projects initiated for the construction sector in Tamil Nadu. The Chief Minister's efforts have significantly contributed to the development and growth of the industry, setting new benchmarks for excellence.

The delegation specifically appreciated the introduction of the online plan approval system for houses to be built up to 3500 square feet on plots up to 2500 square feet. This initiative allows for immediate online plan approvals and exempts the requirement for obtaining a completion certificate after the construction work is completed. This move has resolved many demands of the builders with compassion and efficiency.
