Awareness Programme on "Presence-less Registration"

On 23 July 2026, the Office of the Inspector General of Registration, Government of Tamil Nadu, under the chairmanship of Thiru Lokesh Tamilselvan, Hon'ble Minister for Commercial Taxes and Registration, Government of Tamil Nadu, organised an awareness programme on "Presence-less Registration" at Amma Maaligai, Greater Chennai Corporation Office, Chennai.

On behalf of BAI Southern Centre, Mr. S. Ramaprabhu, Chairman - CMDA & DTCP Committee. Mr. A. Sathyanarayana, Hon. Secretary and Mr. J. Nirmal Chand Challani, Hon. Treasurer, attended the programme and interacted with the officials of the Registration Department.

The newly introduced Presence-less Registration facility is expected to simplify the registration process for eligible first-sale transactions of flats and plots, thereby benefiting both developers and home buyers.
