
BAI Southern Centre, jointly with the Southern Builders' Charitable Trust, organized the first Workers Health Camp for the year 2026–27 on 23rd May 2026 at the Skylon Project Site of Appaswamy Real Estates Ltd., near Koyambedu Metro Station, Chennai.
The camp was inaugurated by Sevarathna Bhishma Thiru R. Radhakrishnan, Past National President and Trustee in the presence of Thiru Mu. Moahan, Past National President and Trustee along with Centre Office Bearers, Past Chairmen, Senior members and EC/GC Members.
The programme was coordinated by Committee Chairman Thiru K. Koteswara Choudary and Co-Chairmen Thiru R. Ganesh Kumar and Thiru M.V. Hari Kumar, with medical support from doctors of Apollo Hospital and Saveetha Dental College.
More than 300 construction workers benefited from the camp, which provided comprehensive health services including ECG, ECHO, eye examination, dental check-up, blood sugar and blood pressure testing, first aid, health awareness sessions, distribution of essential medicines and free reading glasses for the needy.
The camp not only addressed immediate health concerns but also created awareness about preventive healthcare and healthy living among construction workers.
