Awareness Training Programme on “Presence-less Registration”

Builders' Association of India (BAI), Southern Centre, organised an Awareness Training Programme on “Presence-less Registration” on 13th August 2026 in Padma Bhushan Dr. A.Ramakrishna Auditorium, BAI Southern Centre premises, in view of the mandatory implementation of the Presence-less Registration System through the TNREGINET Portal with effect from 17th August 2026 for the registration of First Sale of Apartments (New Flat Registration) and First Sale of Plots.

The programme was conducted by officers and officials of the Inspector General of Registration, Government of Tamil Nadu, with the objective of creating awareness among builders, developers and officials handling registration-related matters in member companies about the new registration procedure.

The programme commenced with a Welcome Address by Mr. K. Gopinathan, Chairman, BAI Southern Centre, followed by the Inaugural Address by Bhishma Mr. R. Radhakrishnan, Past National President & Trustee, BAI.

Mr. Naveen, Sub-Registrar Officer (SRO), explained the Presence-less Registration procedure and the steps involved in carrying out registrations through the TNREGINET Portal. Nearly 200 Builders, Developers and officials from member companies participated in the programme.

An interactive Question-and-Answer session was conducted, during which participants raised various practical queries and doubts regarding the new system. The officers and officials of the Registration Department clarified the queries and provided necessary guidance to the participants.

The participants appreciated the initiative taken by Mr. K. Gopinathan, Chairman, BAI Southern Centre, and Mr. S. Ramaprabhu, Seminar Committee Chairman, BAI Southern Centre, for organising the awareness programme at an appropriate time ahead of the mandatory implementation of the new system.

The programme was well received by the participants, who expressed that the training was timely, informative and useful in preparing their organisations for the implementation of Presence-less Registration.

The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Mr. A. Sathyanarayana followed by lunch.
